A Letter from the Pastor
From a plumbing building and 2 people in 1992 to over 600 people per weekend squeezed into ourcurrent facilities, God has blessed Cape Cod Church and has clearly created a need. Our current 1.2 acre property welcomes more and more people, a feat made possible through multiple services, satellite parking lots and plenty of patience.
Each week, we see God bringing people to Cape Cod Churchto hear the biblical message of hope, love, and salvation in our Lord. However,a quick glance at our jammed parkinglot, cramped childrens spaces and packed services are evidence that we need to expand to continue this mission. Simply put, to fulfill Gods plan for our church and for our region we must expand.
For the past 2 years we have prayed, searched, and researched to discern God’s will. He led us to the purchase of nearly 10 acres of land strategically located on Rt. 151 that will allow us to expand our outreach to all of Cape Cod. The vision for building on that land is included in this brochure. It is a vision of a campus and facility that will give us room to expand our children and youth ministries, and seating for the hundreds and even thousands that God will send to Cape Cod Church. It will allow us to reach out to our community making room for future generations of people on Cape Cod to embrace Jesus Christas their Savior.
At Cape Cod Church we talk about“Living fully for God” (Mk 12:30-31) and that fits perfectly with our move to Rt 151. Really what we are talking about is “Living Fully” and “Moving byFaith” – we are saying that living fully for God means trusting him in faith. Make no mistake – this is a BIG project, it will require us to “Move by Faith”!
Galatians 5:6 says“…what is important is faith expressing itself in love”.
On Sunday May 2nd that is exactly what I am asking our church to do - to express our faith in am amazing display of love. On that day we will bring our “love gifts” and our “faith commitments” as we prayerfully ask God to use us to bring His vision for Cape Cod Church to pass.
This is a great challenge and a defining moment for our church. Will you pray with me and commitment to being a part of what God is about to do in our midst.
In His Service,
Ben Feldott
Pastor – Cape Cod Church
P.S. Please join me at one of our three “Home Receptions” where we will hear from our Architect and have a chance to see a model of the new facilities.
