How blessed are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered! How blessed is the one against whom the Lord does not count iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit! Psalm 32:1-2
Today's thoughts from today's verses:
Forgiveness is a tricky thing. It only cones to those who want it. Only those who know they need it want it. Only those who are not deceived know they need it. And then, it is totally a work of God that opens our eyes to see that we need it. And how blessed is the one for whom all this is true? They are totally and absolutely blessed. We can even go on to say that only those who know they need it understand that forgiveness is the difference between a blessed life and a cursed life.
This is because forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door to a restored relationship with God (what a blessed happening that is) and all the blessing that follows. We could even go on to say, “How cursed are those whose transgression is not forgiven, whose sin is not covered! How cursed is the one against whom the Lord does count iniquity, and in whose spirit there is deceit!” We are totally and absolutely blessed to be counted among those who are totally and absolutely forgiven by God.
Today's prayer response from today's thoughts:
Lord, thanks for opening my eyes to my need of forgiveness. You truly have me covered and do not count my iniquity against me. I know the blessing of forgiveness and the blessing of a restored relationship with you. You are my God and you are amazing. I love you, worship you, and bless you. Amen!
