Christmas Offering

The Christmas Season & Christmas Offering

We are in the midst of our "Season of Generosity" with a focus on missions, the annual Thanksgiving food drive, and Operation Christmas Child. And  with Christmas fast approaching, I'm getting excited about the upcoming Christmas Musical Celebration at Cape Cod Church (Dec 10th & 11th). Watching the program come together, then seeing the thousands of people who come to celebrate with us is a great way to start the Christmas season!

Our Christmas Opportunity

As we think about others this Christmas, I am now inviting you to give towards our special Christmas Offering. Your generosity is important and it makes a difference.

This year, our Christmas offering will be dedicated in two ways. First, your offering will strengthen and further the overall outreach ministries of Cape Cod Church. The work we are doing matters: standing out in our community as a beacon, spreading the good news, inviting people  to explore their faith, applying the Bible to people’s daily life, and supporting community organizations and mission partners around the world. You are an integral part of a church community that is doing important work and leading people to “LIVE FULLY for Christ.”

Helping Others

Second, we will be committing 10% (a tithe) of your Christmas Offering to bless a specific need in our local community. A recent article in the Enterprise identified a growing number of local homeless children, including students, living in shelters and motels. It's hard to imagine what Christmas may be life for these underprivileged families. We have reached out to school administrators in Falmouth and neighboring towns to offer this gift to these local homeless families with children. The offer is greatly appreciated and we will work through the schools to make sure it gets there before Christmas.

The Christmas Offering is a chance to support the mission of Cape Cod Church while at the same time blessing our neighbors. I have enclosed a special Christmas Offering envelope for you to use which will ensure that your gift is designated for the Christmas Offering. Our official Christmas Offering Sunday will be December 18 th. I also understand that scheduling may make it easier for you to give on another Sundayby mail, online, or through the app.  After praying about what God might lead you to give, I invite you to give on any Sunday between now and the end of December.

As a church, I am reminded of how extraordinarily generous we are.  Through your faithful ongoing general giving, growing support of the missions program, and exceptional giving towards projects such as our new building, it really is remarkable what we have done together, and I am excited about the possibilities of what we can do together moving forward.

Merry Christmas,

Pastor Ben Feldott
