Cape Cod Church Executive Team

Introduction

Churches and ministries benefit from godly leadership and effective structure. Our founding and growth have been and continue to be marked by a view that God raises up leaders for the purpose of leadership (Eph 4:11-12) - Pastoral leaders and ministry leaders who work in concert as a team. We passionately seek to communicate this in our Newcomers class for all those who are new to Cape Cod Church. Other than time spent developing weekly messages (spiritual feeding), one of the most significant responsibilities of a Senior Pastor is to lead, in a sense then the role is to feed and lead Cape Cod Church. This is the role of the Pastor as shepherd (Acts 20:17-18, 25; 1 Peter 5:1-2. )

The Executive Team then is designed to support the Pastor as he leads the church and the staff toward the vision God has for Cape Cod Church. The Pastor then has a reciprocal responsibility to invest in the Executive Team so that they are well informed about the nature of ministry and Cape Cod Church in particular.

There are, a variety of church leadership structures which could all fall safely into the description of biblical, often varying based on denominations, church philosophy, geographical location, and most notably based on church size. In addition to biblical soundness we then seek to develop and/or evaluate a system for it’s effectiveness in growing a church, handling conflict, the ability to change rapidly to adapt to opportunities, to encourage (as opposed to stifling) people in ministry and ultimately to inspire people to live FULLY for God! High aspirations for any structure, but we believe we have a leadership model that will grow with our church, honors God, provides accountability, flexibility, and recognizes the gifts and callings unique to each person.

The Executive Team is a powerful tool to support the leadership, mission, and vision of Cape Cod Church, Team members are selected not only for their spiritual passion and leadership ability but also for their proven ability at Cape Cod Church to unify around doctrine, ministry philosophy, and the vision of the Executive Team.

Live FULLY,

Ben Feldott
Sr. Pastor – Cape Cod Church
