We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ. We know, dear brothers and sisters, that God loves you and has chosen you to be his own people .... As a result, you have become an example to all the believers in Greece—throughout both Macedonia and Achaia. And now the word of the Lord is ringing out from you to people everywhere, even beyond Macedonia and Achaia, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your faith in God. We don’t need to tell them about it. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-4, 7-8
At the beginning of the week we said that as ones who are "in Christ," we are framed in God's love and acceptance because we are recipients of his grace. We then said that you "in Christ" (recipients of love, grace, redemption, acceptance) becomes true so that Christ "in you" becomes true. Christ "in you" is the key to a genuinely new picture being painted inside the new frame (you "in Christ). Through Christ's indwelling presence we become true works of art - masterpieces if you will and as such we gain a amazing sense of personal significance and meaning that revolutionizes our outlook on life and understanding of why we are here. As recipients of grace, God desires for us to become agents of grace. Everything we have been talking about comes full circle as we find our significance in being ones God uses for his kingdom purposes as agents of grace. What an amazing God we have and what an amazing life he has called us to. We truly are new people (new frames) with new lives (new pictures). Amen
