Fruits of the Holy Spirit (Gentleness) – Manifesting Gentleness in Serving God and Others - Wednesday, May 29th

God has shown you his grace in many different ways. So be good servants and use whatever gift he has given you in a way that will best serve each other. If your gift is speaking, your words should be like words from God. If your gift is serving, you should serve with the strength that God gives. Then it is God who will be praised in everything through Jesus Christ. Power and glory belong to him forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11 (ERV)

Today's thoughts from today's verses:

It is important that we get a handle on what is really meant by the spiritual fruit called "gentleness." Gentleness is a work of God's Spirit that delivers a person from being all "fussed up" about things. We can be all "fussed up" about our own welfare, the welfare of others, or even the welfare of God's kingdom. The person with a gentle spirit is one who is calm and settled in their inner person because they have relinquished everything over to God. They have a pattern for living life that flows from abiding in God's presence, purposes, and power. This pattern for living life results in the manifestation of gentleness in a person's life and frees them up to a life of serving God and others in a calm and focused way. Our passage for today gives us a composite of what gentleness looks like.

Today's prayer response from today's thoughts:

Lord, keeping me going forward at becoming calm and focused, while freeing me more and more from being fussed up and relentless. Grant that I leave behind harsh and forceful ways in favor of a life that truly manifests gentleness in my serving you and others. Lord, I love you and worship you. May you and you alone be glorified. Amen!

Howdy! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from
an established blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog?
I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick.
I'm thinking about making my own but I'm not sure where to start.
Do you have any tips or suggestions? Many thanks

Its like you learn my thoughts! You appear to understand a lot about this,
such as you wrote the book in it or something. I believe that you just can do with some % to power the message home a
bit, however other than that, this is excellent blog.
An excellent read. I will definitely be back.
