Fruits of the Holy Spirit (Peace) – God’s Peaceful Protection - Friday, May 10th
(This week’s Devotionals are Monday through Saturday)
Don’t worry over anything whatever; tell God every detail of your needs in earnest and thankful prayer, and the peace of God which transcends human understanding, will keep constant guard over your hearts and minds as they rest in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (PHILLIPS)
Today's thought from today's verses:
God's peace is supernatural and it literally guards our hearts and minds from the impact of the stuff life throws at us. When we have God's peace, we do not need everything around us to be in a state of rest in order for us to be at rest. However, it is essential that we prayerfully seek God for the peace we need. God is always present and patiently waiting to bring his peace to our hearts and minds.
Today's prayer response from today's thoughts:
Lord, forgive me for so often leaving you out of the picture. May the default mode of my life be to seek you in earnest prayer for the supernatural peace I need in times of trouble and difficulty. Thank you, Lord, for always being present to protect me and help me. Amen!
