Life on a Higher Plane - God Is Pouring Out His Blessing - Friday, July 21st

I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firmHe put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord. How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood. Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders (blessings) which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; there is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, they would be too numerous to count. Psalm 40:1-5

Today's thoughts from today's verses:

Like the farmer we met at the beginning of the week, we need to withhold judgment concerning the events of our lives because God is in charge and is not through yet in regard to how He will entirely work out and incorporate that those events in the grand scheme of things. Too often, we are like the farmer’s neighbors, quick to pass judgment on the life events that come our way. God is merciful and will help us to do life right. What a great expression this Psalm gives to us and it wonderfully captures what God is calling us to at this time. With the higher plane of God’s perspective and presence coupled with the encouraging support of God’s people we will truly sing a new song, we will not fear, and we will trust in the Lord. This is truly the “blessed” life to which God is calling us.

Today's prayer response from today's thoughts:

Lord, there really is none to compare with you and my trust is in you alone. Thanks for lifting me out of the pit and setting my feet on a rock. My footsteps are firm and I am singing a new tune. Keep me going forward on this higher plane. Thank you for pouring out your blessing in my life. I love you and worship you, Lord. Amen!
