Our Refuge from Stress and Anxiety - God, Our Source of Goodness and Hope - Friday, April 7th

How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, before the sons of men! You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man; You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues. Blessed be the LORD, for He has made marvelous His lovingkindness to me in a besieged city. As for me, I said in my alarm, “I am cut off from before Your eyes;” nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to You. O love the LORD, all you His godly ones! The LORD preserves the faithful and fully recompenses the proud doer. Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:19-24

Today's thoughts from today's verses:

Focusing on God’s purpose for our lives, choosing God and His peace over the pressure of people, and pursuing a faith that proclaims that we will trust God whether He delivers or delivers up will have an amazing impact on us and the people around us. We will find that God has wonderfully helped us with anxiety as we learn to trust Him in all circumstances no matter what. God loves us right where we are in our lives today and He waits to take us by the hand and help us go forward linked with Him more fully than ever before in the exciting and challenging journey of life.

Today's prayer response from today's thoughts:

Lord, how great is your goodness. My hope is in you and you alone. Surely, I can be strong with courage in my heart as you deliver me from fear and anxiety in midst of stressful circumstances. I choose to trust you, Lord, no matter the outcome. Yes, you are good and my hope is in you. May the people of my world be blessed by the difference you are making in my life. Amen!
