For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. Romans 3:23-24
We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.” Acts 15:11
The Romans passage above speaks of God's redemptive work on our behalf as being free and gracious. This reminds us that there was nothing we could do to earn salvation. The Acts passage above says that the grace that saves us is undeserved. Because God's redemptive grace is unearned and undeserved, it really makes sense that we speak of it as "Unexpected Grace." God's "Unexpected Grace" is for everyone and it is the one and only means of eternal salvation.
Lord, I am so blessed. Thank you for your wondrous grace that has made the redemption of my soul possible. That which was unexpected, unearned, and undeserved has been bestowed on me. I bow before you in worship and adoration. Help me walk all day in the awareness that I am fully forgiven and in this awareness, Lord, help me live fully for you all day long.
