The Freedom of Unconditional Love – The Risk of a Hand Extended - Friday, April 27th

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35

Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, “the reproaches of those who reproached you fell on Me” …. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. Romans 15:2-3,5-7

Today's thoughts from today's verses:

Life is filled with both opportunities to take the hand of another extended to us and to extend our hand to someone else. Holding the hand of another always involves risk. But it is only those who take the risk who experience the blessing of shared unconditional love. God can heal us from the conditioned love experiences of the past, protect us from them as we go forward, and position us for optimal unconditional love connections with others if we are willing to let Him.

Today's prayer response from today's thoughts:

Lord, I know that the life you have called me to is not about me but about blessing others through the overflow of my relationship with you. Help me to live for the sake of others in ways that abound with love, acceptance, forgiveness, giving, and sacrifice. I choose to go forward with the extended hand of unconditional love. I assume the risk of relating to others in the same way you have related to me. Thank you for taking a risk with me. What a blessing it is to know you and your unconditional love. You have set me free to extend the hand of unconditional love to anyone and everyone. Amen!
