The Way of Forgiveness - The Powerful Pulse of God's Kingdom - Monday, September 18th
Pray, then, in this way: Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9-10
Today's thoughts from today's verses:
God’s kingdom is present whenever there are people present who are committed to being surrendered to God and His kingdom purposes. These are the ones who genuinely pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” If God’s will were being done entirely on earth just like it is in heaven, then His kingdom would be manifest everywhere and it would be heaven on earth. Those who make the commitment of surrender to God and His kingdom purposes are ones who walk in God’s presence and whose lives as a result become connecting points between heaven and earth. The more connecting points there are, the more His kingdom comes. Kingdom people are not perfect but they are those who are in touch with the King and allow Him to help them to keep open and current in his forgiveness and focused on having lives that advance the spread of His kingdom on earth. For them confession and forgiveness are God’s means for keeping them on track with their commitment to being surrendered to Him and His kingdom purposes.
Today's prayer response from today's thoughts:
Lord, I am getting more fully what it means to pray, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” I want to get it even more and become a truly effective “connecting point” for the advancement of your kingdom and for the sake of your honor and glory. Through ongoing confession and forgiveness keep me on track with my commitment to being surrendered to you and your kingdom purposes. Amen!
