Treasure Island Kids Church


Treasure Island Kids Church makes Sunday a FUNday. Teachers and counselors serve as mentors for children. General skills required for all positions:  a desire to work with children, general working knowledge of the Bible, patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor. Required to have CORI background check and to adhere to the Child Protection Guidelines as outlined by the Cape Cod Church Child Protection Handbook. Knowledge in CPR and first-aid is an asset.

Treasure Island Teacher
Teaches one session each week of Treasure Island Sunday School program and collaborates with the Children’s Ministry director to review curriculum in fall/spring and to recommend summer curriculum.You will also be asked to attend quarterly meetings.

 

Treasure Island Substitute Teacher
Supervises a class during Treasure Island Sunday School program on occasion when a teacher cannot be there. Video resources are available at church to assist with the class.

 

Treasure Island Tiki Hut Coordinator
Greets families and signs children into Sunday school.

 

Children’s Ministry Parent Coordinator
Keeps parents connected to Children’s Ministry opportunities, updates and events.

 

Junior Camp Coordinator
Assists with Children’s Ministry leader with the summer camp program, responsible for taking deposits and payments for camp. Also organizes and attends all fundraisers to help children with camp subsidy. Works with Children’s Ministry director to promote camp to church families. It is helpful to have previous camp experience.

 

Junior Camp Counselor
Attends week-long Bible camp in the summer to supervise campers who attend from Cape Cod Church. It is helpful to have previous camp experience.

 

Children’s Ministry Special Events Coordinator
Assists with activities outside of the Treasure Island Sunday School program to bring together the children of the church. Works with Children’s Ministry leader to identify opportunities outside of the church to provide learning and application of biblical principles. Also, helps coordinate Sunday School Teachers’ Conference, quarterly teachers’ meetings, and thank-you dinner.
